Delete your account

You can delete your PianoKite account, and all the data stored with it, at any time from inside the app.

How to delete your account

  1. Open PianoKite and go to My songs.
  2. Tap the account button (your profile picture or initial) to open the account sheet.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm by tapping Delete account again in the dialog.

For your security, Firebase may ask you to sign in again before the account can be deleted. If you signed in with Google, the app asks you to confirm your Google account; if you use email and password, sign out, sign in again, and then delete the account.

What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes, from our servers and from the device you delete it on:

  • your account (name, email address, profile photo, sign-in record);
  • every song in your repertoire, with its settings, per-bar progress, learned percentage, run count and practice time;
  • every MIDI file you imported and synced.

Deletion is immediate and can't be undone. Other devices that were signed in to the account lose access to it. Firebase's own security logs are kept for a limited time by Google, as described in the privacy policy.

Using the app as a guest

If you never created an account, nothing about you is stored on our servers: your songs and progress are only on your device. To remove them, uninstall the app, or clear its storage in Android Settings → Apps → PianoKite → Storage → Clear storage.

Can't open the app?

If you no longer have the app installed, install it again, sign in with the same account and follow the steps above. If that isn't possible, contact the developer through the contact details on the app's Google Play listing with the email address of your account, and we'll delete it for you. You can also email hello@pianokite.com.

Early-access list

The early-access email list is separate from app accounts. To be removed from it, reply to any email we've sent you, or use the contact details above.
